Unveiled in 2021, this 11-foot steel sculpture was created by local artist Alan Compo, HYBYCOZO and the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians. Meaning “Spirit of the Rapids” in Anishinaabemowin, the piece honors Native traditions of the Grand River and Great Lakes region while raising awareness of Indigenous culture.
