Created in 2020, this mural honors The Grand Rapids Chicks, part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League organized during World War II who fielded ten popular teams in the Midwest. In 2024, this alley also got a new alleyway flooral designed by Max VanderForest and painted by community members. This mural is part of Women’s Way, an initiative that celebrates local women leaders in Downtown Grand Rapids.
