Parking in Downtown Grand Rapids
Cost
Prices can vary depending on the day, the location, and what events may be in town. When visiting downtown for a large event like a concert, expect to pay the Special Event rate.
Downtown has more than 30,000 parking spaces available for visitors. So it’s easy to find a spot in close proximity to your destination. Particularly if you plan ahead.
Paying For Parking
To pay, most lots take cash, and debit or credit cards (MasterCard, Discover, Visa, and American Express). Some locations accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, other contactless payment methods. For Special Events, you’ll pay upon entry at most parking locations. When visiting our parking areas on a regular day, most ramps and lots are paid upon exit.
While you won’t find street parking on our map, there are hundreds of street spots downtown. Street parking is free on the weekends, and free daily after the posted time (usually 5pm). The best way to pay is with the Motu Parking App.
Accessibility
We offer accessible parking in all public our ramps and lots. These spaces are clearly marked. In most ramps, you can find accessible parking spaces on the first level or near elevators/stairways. For the Government Center Ramp, use the south entrance on Monroe Ave (furthest from Michigan St).

How to Ride:
Simply download the Lime app, locate a nearby vehicle and unlock it with your phone. When you’re done, park responsibly in a designated area and end your trip in the app. You can also group ride, reserve vehicles, and pause your ride at any time.
For scooters, push off with your feet and use the throttle to accelerate and the brakes to decelerate. The e-bikes require some peddling and braking to decelerate.
